“CINGALEE”
* PRODUCTION BY MASTERTON AMATEURS. FULL CAST OF CHARACTERS. The public of Masterton has come to expect much from the Amateur Theatrical Society, and this year’s production of “Cingalee” promises to more than live up to these expectations. The Opera which will be produced from August 13 to August 20 is an extremely tuneful one. Costumes for principals, chorus and .ballet are being hired from Sydney, and full advantage is being taken of the opportunity offered to capture the colour and movement of the Eastern scenes. Warham; Boobhamba, a noble of Kandy, Mr C. Rogers; Sir Petei' Loftus, High Commissioner and Judge, Mr A. McFarlane; Myamgah, native servant, Mr A. McWhinnie; Bobby Warren, Mr 4.
