Y.M.C.A. HELPERS

MEETING OF LADIES’ AUXILIARY. The president, Mrs. G. R. Beecroft, presided at the monthly meeting of the Y.M.C.A. Ladies’ Auxiliary held yesterday. There was a good attendance of members. One new member, Mrs W. A. Clarke, was elected on the motion of Mrs Cottle. A hearty welcome was extended to her. Mrs Cottle reported on the meeting of a committee she had attended, representing the Auxiliary. The Mother and Son Teh was reported on and was voted a splendid success. A small credit balance was recorded. Arrangements were concluded for the Juvenile Art Concert to be held on August 10 in the Opera House. The various art teachers were reported to be gladly co-operating, and a good programme was anticipated. Other business of a general nature was discussed after which Mesdames Pike, Rutherford and Williams entertained the Auxiliary to afternoon tea.
