Rain, 14. points. Mr H. M. Boddington reports that 19 points of rain fell at Solway during the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. today. General situation: An intensive and deep depression is centred west of Auckland and is moving in an east-south-easterly direction. Forecast: — Moderate to strong south-east to southeast winds reaching gale force at times. Weather dull and misty, with further rain, some heavy falls probable; temperatures moderate to cool.
