SALE OF DAIRY HERD
Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd., report:—On account of Mr H. B. Davenport, Clareville, yesterday we offered his dairy herd, plant, and pigs to a small attendance. Calving dates were given out, and although the highest price was £lO 15s, prices were well sustained throughout and the whole herd averaged just a fraction under £B. The milking plant, engine, etc., sold well. Pigs were in fair demand and the brood sows with litters at foot made up to £5 10s. Other pigs made late rates.
