LONDON SALES Messrs Levin and Co. Ltd., have received the following cable from their London Agents, dated July 22. The auctions closed here today with a good tone. There was strong competition throughout, all sections of the trade buying. The total quantity offered 79,232; sold, 68,000; carried forward 67,000; including 28,500 from New Zealand. Compared with the opening rates, we quote:—Greasy merino, best, unchanged per lb; average, unchanged per lb; fine halfbreds, 50/565, unchanged per lb; extra fine crossbreds, 48/50s, jd per lb higher;, fine crossbreds, 46/48s, Id per lb higher; medium crossbreds, 44/465, ’,d per lb higher; coarse crossbreds, 40/445, ’,d per lb higher; low crossbreds, 36/40s, Jd per lb higher; sliped halfbred lambs, Jd to Id per lb higher; slipe medium and coarse, Jd to Id per lb, higher. ,
