PENALTY FOR INTOXICATED DRIVER (By Telegraph—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, July 23. Repeated warnings had been given by the court, said Mr J. R. Bartholomew, S.M., in the Magistrates’ Court when sentencing Alexander Kennedy to seven days’ imprisonment for being intoxicated in charge of a car. . It was stated that while driving a zig-zagging course on the Portobello highway last night accused had a minor collision, With another car. His licence was suspended for twelve months.
