ROSEBANK HURDLES, 11 miles. 3 Entheos, 9.6 (Chaplin) 1 2 Tail 'Light, 10.6 3 4 Black Man, 9.10 3 Scratched: Spender, King Mestor, Revival. Won by 21 lengths, with Black Man a length further back. Time, 3.1 1-5. CLOSEBURN HANDICAP, 7 furlongs. 2 Rotoma, 9.7 (Jenkins) 1 4 Tidewater, 8.3 2 3 Flying Acre, 8.6 3 Scratched: Shining Hours, Gladium, Maahunui, Silver Fox. Won by a head, with Flying Acre half a head away. Time, 1.36 1-5. MATAMATA RACES. TRACK HOLDING. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) HAMILTON, This Day. The Matamata Racing Club’s winter meeting is being held today in dull weather. There is a good attendance. The track is holding. Results: — PERIA STEEPLE, about 21 miles. 8/8 Cordon, 9.10 (M. Stewart) ..... 1 2/2 Bells of Bow, 10.4 (T. Williams) 2 6/7 Cromwell, 10.7 (F. Foster) 3 Scratched: Killadar, Electric Flash, Folly’s Choice, Etcetera, Arcadian. Won by twelve lengths. Cromwell was 10 lengths away. Time, 4.52 3-5. PAIRERE HANDICAP,'6 furlongs. First Division. 10/6 Very Glad, 8.0 (J. Day) 1 2/3 Alyth 9.5 (C. G. Goulsbro) 2 9/8 General Risk, 8.0 (K.
