Miss A. M. Brown reports as follows for the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. today:— Barograph, 30. Shade temperature: Maximum 46.8, minimum 29.8, terrestrial 22.6. Sunshine, 24 minutes. Frost, 7.8 degrees. General situation: An extensive depression is situated to the west of the North Island and pressure is low to the south-east of the Dominion. Forecast: Light to moderate and freshening northerly to north-easterly winds. Weather fine at first but cloud increasing and later scattered rain probable in and west of ranges; temperatures moderate.
