GREYTOWN

NATIONAL PARTY FUNCTION. (“Times-Age” Special.) The Greytown branch of the National Party held a successful flag bridge and euchre party on Wednesday night. In spite of the wet weather there was a large attendance. The prize winners were: —Ladies: Euchre, Mrs Williams (Carterton) 1 Mrs Tail (Featherston) 2. Men: Mr W. W. Kidd 1, Mr E. Evans 2. Bridge winners: Miss Nix and Mr R. G. Vile. ,■ / Mr J. F. Thompson, the National candidate for the Wairarapa seat, was present, and- at supper time addressed the gathering. PERSONAL. The many friends of Mr J. Terry, of Papawai, will regret to learn that he has found it necessary to enter the Greytown Hospital for treatment. The Rev. Howard Harkness will conduct the combined Methodist and Presbyterian service on Sunday.
