ACTIVE COMPETITION AT SALES (Recd This Day. 11.40 a.m.) LONDON, July 21. At the wool sales, 7772 bales were offered, including 4240 New Zealand and 6402 were sold. A good selection was offered, and met with active competition. Rates are now quoted at a level with those at the close of the last series. Quotations: New Zealand Greasy halfbreds, 3 in circle, lOd to 12d; Montalto, 12Jd to 13d. Slipe halfbred lambs, Pareora, 9Jd to 15}d.
