JAPANESE FORCES MISSING ON YANGTSE PREPARATIONS FOR THRUST AGAINST HANKOW TANKS LANDED AT HANKOW (Recd This Day, 12.40 a.m.) SHANGHAI, July 21. A big thrust against Hankow is indicated by large-scale troop movements towards Kukiang. It is estimated that 20,000 men have passed up the Yangtse in the past fortnight. Tanks have been landed at Hukow, and warships will shell the Chinese positions.
