MEETING AT GLADSTONE APPRECIATION OF GOVERNMENT SCHEME An enthusiastic meeting was held recently at the Hurunui-o-rangi Pa, Gladstone, to discuss the Government’s Native housing scheme. Mr W. Tahana addressed the gathering and explained the object of the meeting. He then introduced Mr Ben Roberts, M.P., who expressed his pleasure at having the opportunity of being present, and of explaining - the many benefits of the Native housing scheme. Mr W. Tahana, representative for Gladstone on the Rongokako Maori Council,. Mr P. Anaru, Carterton, and Mrs Dodds, Gladstone, were elected as a small comittee, to act in conjunction with Mr Roberts to further the scheme locally.
