General situation: Yesterday’s cyclonic depression now lies to the east of the North Island and a second depression appears to be forming in the northern Tasinan Sea. Forecast: Moderate to fresh southerly winds prevailing but gradually decreasing and later becoming neither variable. Weather mainly fair to cloudy but with scattered light rain still probable, more especially in and east of ranges; temperatures cool.
