The Government of India, like that of Ceylon, has decided to prohibit assisted emigration to Malaya until satisfied that conditions there are fair to Indian labour. ■ Manchester is to be inscribed in the Golden Book of the Jewish National Fund in Jerusalem, and a “City of Manchester grove of trees” is to be planted on the hills of Nazareth.
