DAVIS CUP

AUSTRALIAN TEAM GETTING INTO FORM KANSAS CITY, July 19. The Australian Davis Cup team tc meet Mexico had two long work-outs today. Hopman, the captain, said that they were all getting into form sooner tha't he expected. Bromwich and then Quist played Wilbur Coen, jun, the ex-national ranker, who lost to both, although he gave them a hard work-out. Hopman and Schwartz played several fast sets. In the singles, honours were about even. Quist seems to be reaching form fastest. His service puzzled Coen and brought consistent aces. A work-out is scheduled for tomorrow afternoon, and probably there will be one every day thereafter.
