CLEARING SALE The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report having held a clearing sale on account of Mr lan McLaren at Dalefield yesterday of his dairy herd and sundries. There was a good attendance of local buyers. The dairy herd came forward in good condition and calving dates were given given. The 48 cows, including threequarter cows, averaged £8 ss. The heifers that were sold averaged £8 12s. The following were the prices, Cows —Best sorts, £lO, £lO 10s, to £ll 10s; good cows, £B, £8 10s to £9 15s; late calvers, £5 ss, £6 ss, to £7 10s; Cows in milk, £7, to £9; Springing heifers, £8 to £8 15s; Jersey bulls, £ll 10s to £l2. Sundries—Rye and clover hay, 4s Id per bale. Oaten Hay, 3s 4d to 4s Id per bale. Spring cart, £5 10s. Milk cans, £2 Ils to £2 14s.
