THE REGENT.
“MARIE WALEWSKA.” Greta Garbo reaches the greatest heights of her acting career in “Marie Walewska,” which will be finally shown at the Regent Theatre tonight, and in which she is co-starred for the first time with Charles Boyer in a memorable portrayal of the role of Napoleon Bonaparte. Among historic characters represented are the Due de Talleyrand, played by Reginald Owen, Alan Marshal’s Captain D’Ornano, Count Walewska, played by Henry Stephengon, Napoleon’s mother, enacted by Pame May Whitty, and Prince Poinatowski, played by C. Henry Gordon. “LEAVE IT TO ME.” > Sandy Powell’s new hit “Leave It To Me,” which will come to the Regent Theatre tomorrow for three days, is one of the funniest comedy pictures whic'h the management has secured for some time. All that need be said about the story is that it concerns Sandy Powell’s activities as a special constable. Supporting the star is a very strong cast of talented British players, including Iris March as the heroine, Garry Marsh as the superintendent, Franklin Dyall in the role of the. mysterious Chinese, and Wally Patch as the all-in-wrestling referee.
