Billy returned from the garden with a very dirty face. Mother: “Auntie won’t kiss you with a face like that.” Billy: "That’s what I thought, mother.” The old lady and her small granddaughter were at the cricket match when it started to rain, and the players had to run for shelter. “Fancy a little shower like that stopping the game!” complained the child. “Well, my dear,” explained grannie, “only three of them were wearing mudguards.”
