MOTORISTS FINED

INTOXICATION CHARGES (By Telegraph—Press Association.) HAMILTON, July 18. Two drivers, charged with having been intoxicated in charge of vehicles, appeared before justices of the peace in the Magistrates’ Court, Hamilton, today. Joe Ulrich, a Dalmatian, Auckland, was fined £2O and his licence was cancelled for 12 months, and Lindsay Robinson, aged 23, miner, was fined £lO and his licence was cancelled for a similar period. In the case of Ulrich the evidence showed that a traffic inspector had pursued defendant at 70 miles an hour

on the main Auckland-Hamilton highway. In Robinson’s case the justices took into account the youth of defendant, who had never been in trouble previously.
