Dean Detton, former holder of the world wrestling championship, gave a sample of his ability when he beat Pat Meehan in an eight-round contest at the Town Hall on Saturday night. Blomfield defeated Kennedy by two falls to one in an exciting wrestling bout Kennedy gained .the first fall with a press following dumps. Blomfield took a fall with the octopus clamp, and so disabled Kennedy that he gained an easy deciding fall in the next round.
