When a bomb was thrown' into a bazaar, densely packed with Arab peasants in the old city, eleven persons were killed and fifteen injured, including women and children. Precautions have been redoubled and troops, with fixed bayonets, are now stationed at the principal exits of the city. A machine-gun emplacement has been mounted at the Jadfa Gate. The curfew is imposed at Safad, as the result of a morning’s disturbance.
