EFFECT OF BRITISH BILL STATEMENT BY MINISTER. TWO MILLION POTENTIAL. BENEFICIARIES. (British Official Wireless.) (Recd This Dav.’ 10 35 a.m.) RUGBY, July 14. Moving the second reading of the Holidays with Pay Bill, Mr E. Brown (Minister of Labour), said the measure gave permission and power to certain wave-fixing authorities to fix holidays with pay. The Bill affected potentially about two million workers, and as a result holidays with pay would become a legal reality.
