Forty years ago Mrs Izzard, of Credenhill, Hereford, was' scrubbing a floor when a sewing needle entered the palm of her hand. She was advised by a doctor that, as the needle could not be easily located and its extraction might injure the hand, it would be better to leave it where it was. The other day something appeared under the skin above her knee and a doctor discovered the lost needle which was extracted without much trouble. The needld was in perfect condition.
