LINSEED TEA

FOR COUGHS AND COLDS. Take 1 small cup linseed, 1 tablespoon honey, 1 slice lemon (or juice of half a lemon), 1 quart of'cold water, 1 piece Spanish liquorice as large as one’s thumb. Put linseed into a saucepan with water. Let it come slowly to boil and simmer two hours. Put in honey, the liquorice, well broken up, and the lemon juice, and let it dissolve. Dose: Adult, 1 tablespoon frequently; for a child, 1 teaspoon. This is excellent for colds or coughs.
