Despite Labour protests the Speaker ruled out discussion on the action of the Minister for War, Mr L. HoreBelisha, when the Prime Minister, Mr Neville Chamberlain, in the House of Commons moved approval of the report of the Committee of Privileges, condemning the military authorities for summoning Mr D. Sandys, M.P., before a military court. The Leader of the Opposition, Mr C. R. Atlee, argued that Mr HoreBelisha was responsible for the summoning of the military court.
