Mr H. M. Boddington reports that 6 points of rain fell at Solway during the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. today.
General situation: Yesterday’s depression has passed eastward but conditions are still disturbed to the east and at north-east of the North Island. A shallow depression is crossing the southern portion of the South Island. An intense anti-cyclone still covers south-eastern Australia. Forecast: Light to moderate and variable winds at first but a change to strong southerlies probable during tonight. Weather: Fair to fine at first with rain probable with southerly change. Temperatures cold.
