Bennell, who was having his first fight in New Zealand, was much too good for Downs. A MONOTONOUS BOUT. SS DUNEDIN, July 11. In a 12-round professional boxing contest tonight Neville Mudgway, 10.4, welterweight champion of New Zealand, gained a points’ decision over Bert Osborne, 9.9, lightweight champion of Australia. It was a monotonous bout, and the decision met with a mixed reception.
