Miss Anderson has returned to Eketahuna from a visit to Wellington. Mrs Waddy, of Blenheim, is staying *• with her sister, Mrs Archer Hosking. Mrs Carroll, who has been on a visit 1 to Eketahuna, has returned to her ■ home at New Plymouth. i Mrs O. Petersen, of Waitara, is the • guest of her mother, Mrs W. Bray, : Hastwells. Mrs Frank Fauvell, of Auckland, is the guest of Mrs George Sunderland, of Perry Street, Masterton. Mesdames" W. H. Saunders, H. E. Pither and J. Kerslake are Masterton visitors to Wellington today. The many friends of Miss Melba Mouat will be pleased to hear that she has returned home after her recent illness. The coming-of-age of Miss I. Farmer, daughter of Mr and Mrs T. Farmer, .was celebrated at Greytown last week, when about 200 guests were present at a function in the Oddfellows’ Hall. Mrs A. C. Gawith, Longbush, will be a visitor to Wellington this week, where she will attend the annual conference of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union. Mrs A. S. Carter, hon. secretary of the Eketahuna branch of the Piunket Society and President of the Women’s Institute, as well as acting-secretary : for the Women’s Auxiliary of St Cuthbert’s Church, is confined to her room with an attack of pleurisy. ENGAGEMENT. The engagement is announced of Moira, elder daughter of Mr and Mrs A. H. Elkins, Parkvale, Carterton, to Arthur, youngest son of Mr and Mrs . W. G. Whiteman, Lansdowne.
