RELIGIOUS STATUE

LARGEST IN THE WORLD. Mas Rillier, a few miles north of Lyons, will soon possess the largest religious statue in the world. This statue of the Virgin Mary will measure 105 feet high and will weigh 440 tons. This is only a few feet less than the Stale of Liberty in New York harbour which measures 111 feet 6 inches from heel to top of the head. At Les Houches, near Chamonix, there is a statue of Christ 68 feet high, and at Le Puy. a stute of the Virgin Mary measuring 52 feet.
