WIDESPREAD VIOLENCE IN PALESTINE ATTACK MADE ON BRITISH COMMISSIONER. GOODS TRAIN DERAILED. JERUSALEM, July 10. Brigands fired on the District Commissioner of Galilee while he was investigating an attack on a Jewish motor bus today. The week’s total casualties are estimated at 52 Arabs and 12 Jews killed and 145 Arabs and 18 Jews wounded. Six Jews were wounded in affrays throughout the country on Saturday. Sabotage on the main PalestineEgypt railway resulted in the derailment of a goods train today. Traffic was suspended. MILITARY REINFORCEMENTS. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, July 9. The War Office announces that the Third Infantry Brigade is going to Palestine on September 1. Meanwhile the Eleventh Hussars and an armoured car regiment are leaving for Palestine from Egypt as soon as possible. H.M.S. Repulse has arrived at Haifa to relieve the cruiser Emerald.
