FACIAL ECZEMA

LOSSES STILL OCCURRING IN AUCKLAND AREA

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, July 10.

Although it was confidently predicted that traces of the facial, eczema epidemic would disappear with the onset of cooler conditions, sporadic outbreaks continue to occur throughout the province. It is suggested that any present losses result largely from a breaking down of constitution in previously affected animals, but there are authorities who express the opinion that they cannot all be traced to this source, and that some are essentially fresh cases. If the latter contention should be upheld, many of the dietetic explanations which were advanced when the trouble was at its height will require revision.
