WAIHI LAD’S NARROW ESCAPE.

Ron Skinner, aged 19, narrowly escaped losing his life. He -was taking a bath when, it is stated, he was overcome by gas fumes. He managed to get out of the bath, but collapsed on the floor before reaching the bathroom door.

A younger brother heard . gurgling noises. He entered the bathroom, and found his brother unconscious and dragged him out.. The victim was later resuscitated.
