NOTABLE FLIGHT
CAIRO TO SYDNEY NON-STOP IN PROSPECT.
NEW RECORD WELL SHORT OF POSSIBILITIES.
(Recd This Day, 11.5 a.m.) LONDON, July 8.
The “News Chronicle” says the Air Force bombers' flight has paved the way for a non-stop service from Cairo to Sydney, which it is understood is being attempted in the autumn. Although 4,300 miles is a new record for a bomber formation, it is known that Vickers-Wellesleys are capable of flying considerably further without refuelling.
