(Received This Day, 11.30 a.m.) HANKOW, July 8. Nearly the entire civilian population has evacuated Kiukiang, from which place the Japanese are fifteen miles distant. The defenders are hurriedly fortifying the place with sandbags and barbed wire. Kiukiang is on the Yangtse-Kian g, about 130 miles east-south-east of Hankow.
