BOBBIE LEWIS RETIRES. (Recd This Day, 10.5 a.m.) MELBOURNE, This Day. R. (Bobbie) Lewis, Australia’s most famous jockey has retired at the age of 59. He began riding when he was eleven and has ridden winners of most of the important races in Australia. He holds a Melbourne Cup record, with four wins.
