STILL HELD UP
JAPANESE NORTHERN ARMY IN CHINA IMMOBILISED BY FLOODS. FIGURES OF WAR COSTS. LONDON, July 7. The Tokio correspondent of “The Times” says the Japanese Northern Army in China is still immobilised by .floods. The war has cost to date 430 millions sterling, which has been met by increasing taxation and internal indebtncss. The burden is heavy, but can be borne.
