HAWKE’S BAY FLOOD
HANDSOME CONTRIBUTION TO RELIEF FUND. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) HASTINGS, July 7. A contribution of £l9OO from Mr R. Mathews, Tikokino, has brought the flood relief fund of the mayor of Hastings, Mr G. A. Maddison, to well over £2OOO.
A cheque for £598 10s lid from the Masterton Borough Council and one for £27 Is 6d from the Argyle East flood relief committee, with further small donations, has brought the fund of the mayor of Napier, Mr T. W. Hercock, to a total of £2273 Ils sd.
