PRESENT AND SUGGESTED PLEBISCITES.

The House of Representatives met at 10.30 a.m. today, when Mr W. A. Bodkin asked the Prime Minister if he were aware that a plebiscite was being taken among industrial unions on the Government’s proposed superannuation and health schemes. Mr Bodkin also asked if the Prime Minister would see if a similar plebiscite could be taken among farmers and other sections of the community. The Paretutu Centennial Park Bill was read a first time and referred to the Local Bills Committee.
