NEW ZEALAND MANAGERS RETURNING CONFERENCE ON RULES NOT HELD SYDNEY, July 7. The managers of the New Zealand Rugby League team leave by the Aorangi today without having had a conference with the Australian Board of Control about uniformity in the interpretation of rules and they cannot understand why. The New South Wales league decided that a conference should be held yesterday, but it was not held. Mr Miller, secretary of the New South Wales League, said the New Zealand managers did not want it, but the New Zealand managers emphatically denied this. SUGGESTED TOUR AUSTRALIAN COUNTRY LEAGUE SYDNEY, July 7. The Country League has received an invitation to send a team to New Zealand in August. The matter will be discussed at the next meeting of the Country League.
