MASTERTON SALE
PRICES SHOW HARDENING TENDENCY.
Prices at today’s Masterton stock sale showed a hardening tendency as compared with last week. There was a smaller entry of sheep but the quality was generally better. Fat sheep brought up to a Is more than last week. S.m. ewes, r.w.S.D. sold to 18s; fat b.f.’s from 22s to 245, while 4 and 6-th ewes made 29s 9d. A pen of 2-th ewes sold at 295.
Prices for small hoggets were good, selling from 13s to 15s 6d. Taken right through it was a -very satisfactory sale for sheep.
