VALUABLE HORSE
MALA INSURED FOR £6,000 (Recd This Day, 11.20 a.m). BRISBANE, July 5. Mala, the high-priced and well-per-formed racehorse, who fell just after passing the post in the Doomben Cup on Saturday and died from injuries, was insured for £6,000. Mala was owned by Mr Alan Cooper, who has been a spectacular figure on the Australian Turf during the last few years. He has just decided to retire and sell all his horses in training at auction.
