’NEW RECORD ESTABLISHED IN BRITAIN. LONDON, July 4. The London and North-Eastern Railway Company's streamlined Mallard engine, hauling the Coronation Express, covered 306 yards at a speed of 125 miles an hour, 11 miles an hour faster than the British record for steam trains.
