CANADIAN FARMS
GROSS VALUE OF COMMODITIES. OTTAWA, Canada. The gross value of commodities produced on Canadian farms in 1937 was estimated at 1,051,698,000 dollars as compared with 1,079,571,000 dollars, the revised estimate of the gross value of production in 1936. This represents a decrease of 27,873,000 dollars, or less than one per cent, and was accounted for largely by the decreased value of field crops last year. Decreases were shown also in the value of fruits and vegetables, poultry and eggs, maple products and honey. Increases were recorded in farm animals, wool, dairy products and tobacco.
