SEARCH FROM CHATEAU
TWO LOST MEN LOCATED. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) THE CHATEAU, This Day. After an anxious night, two Wellington visitors to the Chateau Tongariro, who had been missing since yesterday morning were located this morning and brought back to the Chateau about eleven o’clock. Their names are Davidson and Horne and they are now in bed, quite well, though suffering from exposure. There has been heavy snow and the searchers, who had been working in relays day and night, had to wear skis. Guide Risberd, formerly of the Chateau and now of Taumarunui, came up specially to assist the present staff and others. Both Messrs Horne and Davidson are aged about 35. They were members of a weekend excursion from Wellington, and set out from the Chateau, with one companion, for Tama Lakes, which are situated at the foot of Ngaruahoe, at about 10.30 yesterday morning. Their companion 1 turned back at the Taranaki Falls, the other two going on. The snowfall yesterday was the heaviest re-' corded for three years.
