NOTED RACING OWNER
MR ALAN COOPER RETIRING. (Recd This Day, 11.15 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. Mr Alan Cooper, who have a spectacular figure on the Australian turf in the past few years, has decided to retire from racing. Mr Cooper, who suffered a broken knee in a car accident at Brisbane, and whose horse Mala fell just after passing the post in the Doomben Cup, stated that his nerves are affected. He intends to sell all his horses in training at auction, without reserve, but will retain those at stud, including Talking.
