UPSIDE DOWN CAKE

A FAVOURITE DISH. The following is a favourite recipe: Beat well yolks of 4 eggs and add gradually 1 cup white sugar. Add 2 tablespoons boiling pineapple juice. Sift 1 cup flour and 1 rounded teaspoon baking powder and add to batter. Then add 4 beaten egg whites. Melt 1 pound butter in skillet. Add 1 cup brown sugar. When dissolved thoroughly, cover bottom of pan with layer of grated pineapple, then pour in batter and bake for 30 minutes at 360 deg ,F. When done, turn upside down on plate.
