Rayner, who is giving up dairying, to offer as above: — K 9 JERSEY AND JERSEY CROSS DAIRY COWS, due August-Sep-tember. 13 springing heifers 2 3-year Jersey bulls 1 chestnut mare, all work 1 3-year draught gelding, unbroken 1 mare with foal at foot and in foal 1 aged hack AUCTIONEERS’ NOTE: The above comprises 2 herds. One recently belonged to Mr E. L. Rayner, of Waingawa, and was acquired by Mr R. O. Rayner at the end of the 193637 season. During that season the herd averaged 3481b5. butterfat. The other herd has always been milked at Gladstone, and has been tested, and many of the mature cows have records of over 3001bs. fat. Mr Rayner has always heavily culled, and last season no less than 18 heifers were brought into the herd. The country on which these cows have been milked is more suitable for sheep farming than dairying, and they should do well anywhere. Individual butterfat records and calving dates will be given out at the sale, LIGHT LUNCHEON PROVIDED.
