“The Times” Berlin correspondent says the Hamburg-Amerika Line, owners of the Admiral Karpfanger, are confident that the vessel is safe. They suggested that sailing vessels were often forced by the wind to keep from steamer tracks. It might have been impossible to approach land and establish communication. Not until the ship had been at sea for 180 days would real anxiety be felt.
