EKETAHUNA
CROQUET CLUB SOCIAL. (“Times-Age” Special.) The Eketahuna Croquet Club held a most enjoyable social at the residence of Mrs W. G. Macky. The competitions and games were won as follow: — Song titles, Mrs E. M. Wilson; spoon and balloon, Mrs Higginson; tidiest handbag, Mrs Mcßride; potato stabbing, Mrs Higginson. The trophies won during the past season were presented to the following ladies: —Combined doubles, Mrs Brabant and Miss A. Anderson; Minogue Cup, Mrs J. A. Taylor; most improved beginner, Mrs Gallagher; 20minute competitions. Misses Angus and Anderson, Mesdames Gray, Fauvel, Boyes, Andersen, Marenzi, Taylor, Carter, Turley, Brabant and Hansen. A solo was contributed by Mrs D. D. Ryan, the accompaniment being played by Mrs Curry. GOLF ITEMS. The following team will • represent Eketahuna in a match for the Gregorie Cup at Pahiatua tomorrow:—?. Bouzaid, J. Dickson, D. Fraser, T. Lowes, R. McGregor, J. Payne, R. Payne, W. Pryde, P. Page, N. Richardson, M. Shale, J. Tuckett. The winner of last week’s competition was Mr C. Fredericksen who finished all square with bogey.
