ANOTHER SIX MONTHS
PENALTY FOR ESCAPING FROM PRISON. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) PALMERSTON NORTH, This Day. John Colston, aged 28, appearing on the charge of escaping from Waikune Prison on June 19, was sentenced to six months’ imprisonment, additional to his present term. He was convicted and discharged on two charges of issuing valueless cheques at Wellington and the Lower Hutt prior to his committal to Waikune.
